Surging Lakers jolt Raiders 5-2

Indian Lake’s boys soccer team continued to capitalize on its recent momentum as it put away visiting Benjamin Logan 5-2 on Wednesday in a local Central Buckeye Conference game.

The Lakers have won three in a row and move their record to 4-8 overall and 2-5 in the CBC. The Raiders fall to 6-7-1 overall and 1-5-1 in the league. They have now lost five of their last six games with one tie.

“This was a tough game to swallow,” said Ben Logan head coach Jamie Hughes. “We tried mixing some things up tonight because we’ve been struggling lately and it worked early. We kind of fell into the same habits of the past five games again, though. 

“We just need to be tougher mentally. Once one bad thing happens to us we start back peddling right now and we need to right ourselves and keep pushing forward. We’ll keep trying to right the ship, but we are running out of time here.”
