The Pioneers bump their record to 4-3-2 overall and 3-0-1 in the CBC. The Raiders slide to 6-4 overall and 1-3 in the league.

Ben Logan got off to a rocky start when Jonathan Alder scored just 11 seconds into the game for a quick 1-0 lead.

“When they lined up for the opening kick it was pretty obvious what was going to happen,” said BL head coach Jamie Hughes. “We’ve seen that long ball tried many times before. But for some reason, we didn’t react until it was too late and we gifted them a goal right from the start. Losing (goal keeper) Jamie Gill on the play was salt in the wound because Dylan Welch had to come off the field to get in goal.”
