Bellefontaine’s girls tennis team derailed by Pioneers

Bellefontaine’s girls tennis team was upended by visiting Jonathan Alder 4-1 on Monday in a Central Buckeye Conference match.

The Chiefs showed improvement from their earlier match this season against the Pioneers in which they were shut out 5-0.

“We were a little short handed, but I thought our girls fought pretty well,” said Bellefontaine head coach Jim Stein. “Na Lin was not feeling well so we had to adjust our doubles team. Leanna Brown stepped in to play with Taryn Mullins and Meng Wang and Gracie Middaugh played together. (Jonathan Alder) has a strong first doubles team and that made it a little more difficult with our adjusted lineup.”
