Riverside’s softball team finished as Northwest Central Conference runner-up this spring and that was reflected with seven selections on the recently released all-league squad.
Landing first-team selections for the Pirates were Jalynn Stanley, Shelby Giles and Courtnie Smith.
Earning second-team spots for Riverside were Sierra Snow and Leah Kelsey, while honorable mention awards went to Kalin Kreglow and Jordyn Marshall.
Ridgemont had two second-team picks in Cassidy Knapp and Jackie Ramsey. The Gophers saw Whitney Bailey and Emma Smith receive spots on the honorable mention list.
Elgin won the NWCC championship with a perfect 7-0 record. The Comets claimed both the player of the year and coach of the year honors. Standout pitcher Ashley Roth was named the league’s top player and Wendy Muselin was voted coach of the year.
Making up the rest of the first-team squad were Elgin’s Ashley Roth, Amber Roth and Krosbi Clark, Lehman Catholic’s Grace Monnin and Angela Brunner, Hardin Northern’s Alex Jackson, Waynesfield-Goshen’s Cassidy Craig and Lima Perry’s Kelsey Wells.
Rounding out the second-team picks were Elgin’s Tirah Nelson, Racheal Schoen, Chloe Rudd and Mikayla Fassler, Lehman Catholic’s Grace Brandt, Upper Scioto Valley’s Rylee Shepherd, Hardin Northern’s Paytin Pore and Lima Perry’s Lily Floyd.
The remaining honorable mention picks included Elgin’s Bekah Muselin, Kayedon Martin, Upper Scioto Valley’s Haylie Martin and Briona Hurley, Lima Perry’s Annabell Plaugher and Ryan Wise, Hardin Northern’s Audrey Grindell and Zoey Curtis, W-Goshen’s Kapri Wilson and Peyton Spencer and Lehman Catholic’s Annie Stiver and Hope Anthony.
