Benjamin Logan’s softball team leaned on some standout pitching and clutch hitting to put away Versailles 7-0 on Tuesday in a Division III district semifinal at Miami East High School.

The Raiders, who are ranked 10th in the latest state poll, are now 24-2 on the season and play East Clinton (8-10) on Friday in the district final at Tippecanoe. The game time has been moved up to 3:30 p.m. because of Ben Logan’s graduation ceremony Friday night.

Grace Deardurff turned in another stellar performance from the pitching circle to spark the Raiders. She tossed a onehitter and piled up 14 strikeouts.

Ben Logan went up 2-0 early against Versallies after scoring a run in the first and another run in the second inning.
