Bellefontaine’s boys tennis team pulled out a 3-2 victory over Kenton Ridge in a Central Buckeye Conference match Thursday.
The Chiefs are now 3-7 overall and 3-4 in the CBC. Bellefontaine won at second and third singles and at first doubles.
Aidan Hartley recorded a 6-2, 6-1 win in his second singles match and Harsh Bakshi won 6-1, 6-1 at third singles.
The Chiefs’ Cam Neer and Jackson Strzalka prevailed 7- 6, 7-5 at first doubles.
In other action, the Chiefs’ Maverick Calton was defeated 6-2, 6-3 at first singles and Kyle Edu and Ben Sailors lost 6-3, 7-6 at second doubles.
The Chiefs also played several reserve matches. Brooks Verhoff won 8-3 and Abe Burhanna fell 8-4 in singles action and Elijah Merrin and Kacin Davis-Hughes fell 8-3 in a doubles match.
Bellefontaine returns to action today at Northeastern for a non-league match.
