COLUMBUS — Hayden Pummel left the Division III state wrestling tournament pleased, but not satisfied.

The Indian Lake sophomore placed seventh here Saturday during his first trip to the Jerome Schottenstein Center.
Winning a state title was the ultimate goal for Pummel, but coming away with a spot on the podium on his first attempt is something he can live with, for now.
“It doesn’t feel bad to get seventh, but it’s not what I wanted,” said Pummel. “I’m still glad I was able to come here and place, though.”
