COLUMBUS — There were numerous new faces on the mat for Graham here at the Ohio High School Athletic Association state wrestling tournament, but the result was the same by Saturday night.
The Falcons earned their 19th consecutive Division II state championship, which they clinched on Friday night, and the first title for first-year head coach Travis McIntosh.
Aurora held off a surging Louisville squad 87.5-85 to claim the runner-up trophy.
Graham placed six of their 11 state qualifiers, which include two state champions and one runner-up.
Winning state titles for the Falcons were Alek Martin (138) and Jeff Thomas (152), while Nick Moore (132) was second. Nolan Gessler (106) and Johnny Shafer (285) were both third and Isaiah Stickley (160) was fourth.
