Urbana’s boys and girls bowling teams held off visiting Bellefontaine on Tuesday dur- ing a pair of Central Buckeye Conference matches at Southwest Bowl in Urbana.
The Hillclimbers edged the Chieftain boys 2,622-2,562.
Beau Salyer and Isaiah Henry powered the Chieftains. Salyer had games of 223 and 178 for a 401 series and Henry had games of 186 and 215 for a 401 series. Ian Salyer added a 246 game and a 391 series, while Brant Miranda had games of 177 and 201 for a 378 series.
For the junior varsity boys, Raven Beair rolled games of 189 and 184 for a 373 series, Ryan Carmen had a game of 171 and Landon Gibbs had a game of 169.
In the varsity girls match, Urbana won 2,193-2,011.
Ashley Ehmer led the Chiefs with games of 223 and 227 for a 450 series, Na Lin rolled games of 142 and 173 for a 315 series and Lindsey Heminger had games of 125 and 138 for a 263 series.
Tigers derail Panthers
West Liberty-Salem’s girls bowling team handled visiting Fairbanks 2,166-1,558 on Tuesday.
Hailee Clifford paced the Tigers with games of 214 and 176 for a 390 series, Katie Rollins rolled games of 213 and 161 for a 374 series and Emma Hostetler had games of 188 and 129 for a 317 series.
