Benjamin Logan’s girls basketball team got off to a strong start and held on down the stretch for a 52-43 over host Urbana on Friday in a Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division game.

The Raiders move their record to 4-3 overall and 2-0 in the CBC Mad River division. The Hillclimbers drop to 1-6, 1-1.
Ben Logan got its offense rolling in the first quarter for a 16-5 lead. The momentum shifted to Urbana in the second quarter as the Hillclimbers used a 16-8 run to cut the Raiders’ lead to three points (24-21) at halftime.
The Raiders regained some breathing room in the third quarter, outscoring Urbana 18-13 lead lead 42-34.
Ben Logan stayed in control in the final quarter to wrap up the victory. Savannah Pavoni sparked the Raiders with 14 points, Lynzee Cronkleton had 13 points and Pamela Kelly scored 10 points.
There was no junior varsity game.
