For the second straight weekend, Bellefontaine’s girls swim team came way with a first-place trophy on Saturday.
The Lady Chiefs had another stellar day, outpacing a 12-team field to win the Wildcat Invitational at Wittenberg University.
“I was pleased with our depth on the girls side,” said Bellefontaine head coach Sharon Lewis. “This was a huge meet with lots of teams and lots of competitive swimmers. To see the girls place in all three relays and have six individuals putting up points shows that we are on the right track.
“On the boys side we had two individual scorers, but saw three other swims where we were just outside of points and had a relay DQ that would have scored, so moving up in the ranks is not out of reach for the boys.”
