Benjamin Logan snaps 8-game losing skid to its Logan County rival
A blitzkrieg attack by Benjamin Logan put Indian Lake’s boys basketball team on the ropes early Friday in a Central Buckeye Conference opener.
The Raiders raced out to a 13-0 lead in the opening minutes and never let the Lakers catch their breath as Ben Logan rolled to a 52-33 CBC Mad River division victory.
“It’s been four years since we’ve beat them, so this feels amazing,” said BL head coach Cameron Saylor. “I cannot be more proud of these guys right now.”
The win snapped Ben Logan’s eightgame losing streak to the Lakers. The last time the Raiders beat their county rival was in February of 2014.
“We knew they would press us and shoot well at home,” said IL head coach Zach Overturf. “We told the guys we couldn’t come out flat and get on our heels, and that is exactly what happened.”
