Bellefontaine girls 1st, boys 2nd in swimming tri-meet

Bellefontaine’s girls swim team beat Minster and Botkins in a home tri-meet Tuesday at the Hilliker YMCA.

The Lady Chiefs accumulated 89 points to easily finish ahead of Minster (52) and Botkins (25).

In the boys meet, Minster won with 81 points. Bellefontaine was second with 38 points and Botkins finished third with 35 points.

“We have some work to do, but that’s what this part of the season is all about,” said Bellefontaine head coach Sharon Lewis. “We found some strengths and some areas to improve in order to be at our best when it really counts. I am proud of our new swimmers for contributing to tonight’s meet and our returners for continuing to lead the way.”
