Knights slip past Tiger boys 2-1 in OHC battle

Greenon’s boys soccer team battled past host West Liberty- Salem’s for a 2-1 victory Thursday in Ohio Heritage Conference action.

The Knights move to 12-2-0 overall and 5-1 in the league. They play Fairbanks on Saturday to determine the OHC championship.

The Tigers finish their regu- lar season with an 11-2-1 over- all record and a 5-1-1 mark in the league.

Greenon scored both goals in the first half, while West Liberty-Salem’s Ian Wolfe scored his team’s only goal in the first half.

The Knights’ defense was able to hold off the Tigers during the second half.

Defensively for West Liberty-Salem, Logan Saylor made five saves in goal.

WL-Salem finishes the regular season Saturday at Graham for a non-league contest.
