State-ranked Pioneers too much for Bellefontaine

Jonathan Alder’s stateranked volleyball team made quick work of host Bellefontaine in a three-set win Tuesday 25-14, 25-11, 25-14 during Central Buckeye Conference action.

The Chieftains fall to 2-19 overall and 0-9 in the CBC. The Pioneers, who are ranked fourth in the Division II state poll, improve to 17-3, 8-1.

For Bellefontaine, Chalony Tolliver had six kills and five digs, Hannah Rader had five kills and eight digs, Anya Nunez tallied 16 assists with two digs and Laney Yoder posted two kills and two digs.

Alder won the junior varsity match 25-6, 25-4.

Bellefontaine returns to action today at home against Tecumseh.
