Lakers’ Grider named CBC Mad River player of year

Six local players land spots on first team

Christian Grider has been a consistent weapon for the Indian Lake basketball team this winter. He was honored for his efforts recently by being named the Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division player of the year.

Grider, who is averaging nearly 18 points per game in his senior season, was one of six local boys named to the CBC first team.

Joining Grider on the Mad River first team was Indian Lake teammate Jalon Tuttle, as well as Benjamin Logan’s Dalton Greene and Tanner Rader.

On the Kenton Trail side, Bellefontaine’s A.J. Gorham and Tristin Tillman were first-team selections.

Receiving special mention awards were Ben Logan’s Grant Ricketts, Indian Lake’s Ivan Reichert and Bellefontaine’s Max Oyer.
