Kyle R. Brazier, 30, at large, was charged Monday with domestic violence for allegedly attacking his mother.
Officers met with Lisa Brazier at her 500 Gunntown Road, Apt. H2, residence around 3:35 p.m. They also spoke with her brother, Greg Houp, who also resides in the apartment along with his wife.
They told officers the suspect pushed his mother to the floor after she loaded his belongings in a wagon and told him to leave.
The suspect told police he was kicked out of his previous residence early that day. He initially denied assaulting his mother but then admitted to pushing her down.
Liza Brazier began to complain of back pain and was transported by a Bellefontaine squad to MRH for treatment.
Her son was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Motorist injured
A Bellefontaine area woman was seriously injured Monday when her sport utility vehicle hit the rear of an Ohio Department of Transportation pickup truck around 3:35 p.m. on Main Street at Northview Drive.
Rebecca R. Dyer, 58, was transported by a Bellefontaine squad to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment, officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report.
She was southbound at 50 mph and failed to stop for an ODOT pickup operated by Alan L. Smith, 38, of DeGraff. Smith was stopped waiting to turn left onto Northview, police report.
He was not injured.
Both vehicles were heavily damaged and Dyer was issued traffic citation for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
