Several sibling pairs shared top honors during the Junior Fair Poultry Show Sunday, including 2021 Benjamin Logan High School graduate Marshall Jackson and with his younger brother, Mason.
County Fair next summer for one final year of exhibiting.
“It’s been a great ride, and we’ll see where I’m at this time next year. It would be fun to come back for one last year if I’m able to,” the 18-year-old Zanesfield resident said.
Fellow longtime exhibitors, sisters Allison and Alex Kinney of Lewistown, also won top several awards, including a 14-year-old Alex’s win of the grand champion market turkey honors and reserve grand champion poultry roasters.
Allison, 17, a soon-to-be junior at Indian Lake High School, won the reserve awards in meat pen of chickens and in bantams, and was the top senior showmanship winner and reserve overall best of show.
Alex and Allison’s younger sister, Alivia, also participated in the show and was a class winner and runner-up in the rose comb clean-legged category.
Dawson Turner received the grand champion bantam award, along with grand champion and reserve honors in the pigeon category.
In the large fowl category, grand champion honors went to Konnor Barns, 10, of West Liberty, and the reserve award was presented to Reagan Roell, 11, of Belle Center.
Reed Strayer won the grand champion award for poultry roasters.
