Shirley Ann Kauffman, 78, of West Liberty, and late of Logan Acres Care Center, peacefully departed this earthly life on Feb. 15, 2020.
Shirley was born on Oct. 25, 1941, and lived a farm girl life near DeGraff, along with her parents and three sisters. She held a lifelong commitment to the Christian teachings at Oak Grove Mennonite Church and enjoyed the fellowship there.
She is predeceased by her parents, Delphos and Clara Brenneman Kauffman, and by a brother-in-law Jim Brenneman, who was married to her sister Janice of Denver, Colo.
She is also survived by sisters Dianne Stuckey of Denver, and Kathy (Chris) Foust of Bellefontaine. She leaves several nephews and nieces which include Jennifer Brenneman (Dave) Clements of Clark, Colo., Benjamin (Megan) Brenneman of Denver; Kari Stuckey (Jeff) Keown of Santa Fe, Texas; Justin Foust of West Jefferson, Jarrod (Amy) Foust of Dublin, Ohio, Joseph (Leigh) Foust of Worthington, and 12 great nieces and two great nephews.
Shirley graduated from DeGraff High School in 1959 and enjoyed a long career with local retail pharmaceutical stores.
Her family wishes to acknowledge and thank associates of Mary Rutan Hospital and of the Logan Acres Complex for their exemplary care of Shirley.
Pastor Andy Stoner will officiate a memorial service at Oak Grove Mennonite Church, 1525 Mennonite Church Road, West Liberty, at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020, with visitation one hour before the service, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Private burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery, West Liberty.
