Brandon J. Mathews, 24, at large, was charged Wednesday with having weapons under disability and possession of drug paraphernalia after an 8:15 p.m. traffic stop.
An officer of the Bellefontaine Police Department on patrol observed him make an improper turn from Water Avenue onto Main Street.
He granted officers permission to search the car and they found a book bag containing a suppresser for a rifle, several rounds of .223-caliber ammunition, a magazine with 20 rounds of ammunition and shortened straws commonly used for abusing drugs.
Mr. Mathews was charged with the firearms violation because he is a convicted felon. He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
• Brooke M. Minter, 22, and Chase A. Brown, 25, both of 813 W. Williams Ave., were arrested for probation violations Thursday after the Adult Parole Authority issued pickup orders for the two. Ms. Minter was served a warrant for failure to appear.
Both were lodged in jail.
