MARYSVILLE — Two children and two adults were injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Union County, deputies of the Union County Sheriff’s Office report.

A 9-year-old passenger was flown from the scene by MedFlight helicopter to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus after being trapped in a vehicle during the crash.
Jennifer Diamond, 30, of Marysville, and a 4-year-old passenger from the same sport utility vehicle were transported to Memorial Hospital of Union County in Marysville. The child was later transferred by MedFlight to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
The driver of the second vehicle, Jeremy Utley, 36 of Richwood, also transported to Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released.
Deputies report Ms. Diamond was operating a westbound SUV on Hoover Bault Road about 4:30 p.m. and failed to yield at a stop sign at Storms Road. The SUV was then struck by a pickup on Storms Road operated by Mr. Utley.
The SUV rolled onto its side it and came to rest in a field adjacent to the intersection.
Also responding to the scene were the Liberty Township Fire Department, Allen Township Fire Department and Marysville Fire Department.
The crash remains under investigation by the Multi-County Crash Investigation Team, which is comprised of deputies from the Union County Sheriff’s Office, Champaign County Sheriff’s Office, Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Hardin County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Marysville Division of Police.
