Ronzle C. Boggs, 87, of Bellefontaine passed away at 12:10 p.m., Monday, Feb. 17, 2020, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 19, 1932, in Oka, West Virginia, the son of the late Henry C. and Louisa Belle (Lane) Boggs.
He is survived by his four children, Lisa (Richard) Ropp of Bellefontaine, Kemberly Dalrymple of Bellefontaine, Ronzle L. (Audra) Boggs of DeGraff, and Leslie K. Sparrow of Colorado; three grandchildren, Anthony Dalrymple, Amanda (Luis) Mangaser, and Megan (John) Harrison; three great-grandchildren, Malia Mangaser, Alyssa Caudil and Joel Mangaser; three step-grandchildren, Devin (Niki) Ropp, Kendra (Jacob) Jenkins, and Kasie (Chris) Hoffer; 10 step-great-grandchildren, T.J., Logan, Austin, Marley, Hannah, Noah, Ava, Darian, Dallas, and Jayden; three sisters, Carolyn Ball, Linda Rowland, and Betty Collins; seven brothers, Cecil, Doy, Dallas, Homer, Wilbert, Dale, and John Boggs; lifelong best friends, George and Barbara Elliott; two special nieces, Lisa Scarberry and Connie Jean Forsythe; his dog, Buddy Love; his cat, Foxy; and his special four-legged grand dogs, Abby and Gracie; and many other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by five sisters, Gustea Gandee, Myrtle Holley, Grace Lloyd, Bonnie Cavender, Doris Osborne; and his four brothers, Raymond, Roy, Robert, and Walter Boggs.
Ron worked for Knowlton Construction for 25-plus years before going to drive truck until his retirement for Super Foods, where he was a member of the Teamsters and received many Safe Driving awards. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, and working and fixing things for friends and family. He was a craftsman and always had a joke to share. He loved his family and was always a very giving man who helped many people over the years.
Rob Scarberry, a family friend, officiates a memorial service at 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St. Bellefontaine, Ohio, 43311. Visitation is Saturday, two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Boggs family plot in Cottrill Cemetery, Oka, West Virginia, at a later date.
