Robert Hamilton Leichner, 74, of Huntsville, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at Lima Memorial Health Systems.
Robert was born on Oct. 2, 1945, in Chicago, son of the late Robert Herman and Caroline Alice Hamilton Leichner. He was preceded in the by a sister, Edith Leichner.
On Nov. 26, 1966, Bob married Patricia Ballentine at St. Mary of the Woods Church in Russells Point, and she survives, along with two daughters, Caroline Leichner and Melissa (Jay) Hurley, both of Huntsville, a son, Robert M. Leichner of Wapakoneta, four grandchildren, Megan A Shoffner of Florida, Cole (Kayla) Wilt of Belle Center, Makenna and Rush Hurley of Huntsville, two great grandchildren, Gemma Gibson and Kai Wilt, three sisters, Jean Musko and Mary Rohrbach, both of Illinois, and Susan Bullock of Delaware, and several nieces and nephews.
Bob was a 1963 graduate of Edison High School in New Jersey. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during Vietnam. Bob was Vice President at both Farmers Banking Company and Gem’s Sportswear. He was a member of Indian Lake Fish and Game, Indian Lake Moose Lodge 1533, and Past President of Indian Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. Bob enjoyed boating on Lake Erie, riding motorcycles, fishing, watching NASCAR, shooting sporting clays and billiards. His greatest joy came from being with his family.
Private graveside services will be in Huntsville Cemetery. Military Honors provided by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.
