Riverside’s Meghan Orr will have the opportunity to extend her volleyball playing career after recently signing with Clark State Community College.
Clark State is located in Springfield. It is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association.
“I chose Clark State because it offers the program I am majoring in, but
also because I have watched the volleyball program at Clark State improving and strengthening under Coach (Angie) Arthur,” said Orr of her decision.
Orr also considered Ohio Christian University, Edison College and Liberty University.
Since playing volleyball in the seventh grade, Orr said she has wanted to earn the chance to play in college.
She credits her work ethic and competitive nature for putting herself in the position to play at the next level.
“I give 110 percent,” she said. “I work hard to improve, and I am very competitive. I am very much a team player and have a positive attitude.”
Orr believes her Eagles team at Clark State has the potential to be very successful.
“I expect to help the Eagles play as competitively as possible,” she said. “After meeting the team, I believe we will definitely have a winning season.”
