Riverside High School recently hosted its seventh annual Evening of Excellence to celebrate student academic achievement.
Students with a cumulative grade point average of 4.0 and above, and 3.5 to 3.9 were honored. The event also recognized students with an ACT score over 27 and seniors earning the Interact Service-Above-Self Award.
The Evening of Excellence is organized by the Riverside Family-School Partnership and funded mostly by donations. Refreshments were served.
Students in grades 9-12 with a cumulative GPA of 4.0 and above include: freshmen Ryan Baker and Jaidyn Jackson; sophomores Jailyn Leeper and Rylee McCully; juniors Siera Barhorst, Skylar Barhorst, Hayden Gammell, Sadie Hughes, Rachel Knight and Alaina Snow; and seniors Zachary Armbruster, Allison Buchenroth, Chase Davidson, Rozlynn Estep, Malaina Jenkins, Riley Leeper, Brody Rhoads, Madelyn Sanford, Mia Stallard and Sasha Stotler.
Students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 to 3.9 included: seniors Grace Brownlee, Owen Holycross, Trinity Notestine, Kirstin Schlumbohm, Jaren Schneider, Justin Thompson, Kaylee Williams, Jenna Woods and Rayce Yelton; juniors Daisy Armbruster, Briana Bradley, Leah Burden, Jade Copas, Simon Godwin, Dallas Hoffer, Skyler Hudson, Andrew Knight, Samuel Knight, Audrey Kopus, Ethan Lattimer, Gerit Marshall, Madison Mescher and Walker Whitaker; sophomores Hadlie Asbury, Makayla Brandyberry, Faith Brownlee, Nate Copas, Julia Fleming, Reece Jenkins, Samuel King, Ava Klingler, Cassondra May, Keianna Notestine, Myles Platfoot, Rielee Richmond, Lillian Rose, Britny Sliker, Gage Stevenson, Sienna Stewart and Jimmy Trout; and freshmen Isaac Bender, Levi Buchenroth, Kelsey Burt, Caymen Courter, Kaylee Fulkerson, Jayden Hoffer, Brook Hunkler, Carter Kreglow, Kylah Maddy, Gavin Orsborne, Avery Perk, Wyatt Popp, Landon Purtee, Abbigale Scherer and Alexandria Thuel.
Senior Malaina Jenkins also was recognized for achieving an ACT score of 27 or higher.
The Interact Service Above Self Award was presented to Chase Davidson, Rozlynn Estep and Riley Leeper.
