Riverside’s girls bowling program won a tournament for the first time Monday as it finished ahead of eight other squads to win the inaugural King’s Classic at T-P Lanes.
The tournament was hosted by Benjamin Logan.
The Pirate girls tallied a pin count of 3,091 for their championship win. Jonathan Alder was second with 3,057 and Kenton Ridge was third with 2,986. Indian Lake was sixth with 2,630 and West Liberty-Salem was ninth with 2,403.
On the boys side, New Bremen won the tournament with a score of 3,876. Jonathan Alder was second with 3,755 and Ben Logan finished third with 3,473. Bellefontaine’s A team was fourth with 3,468 and its B team was sixth with 3,138. WL-Salem was seventh (3,102), Indian Lake took ninth (3,037) and Riverside was 11th (2,848).
