Riverside’s girls golf team clipped Indian Lake by a single stroke 241-242 on Thursday during a local non-league contest at Cherokee Hills Golf Course.
Roz Estep sparked the Pirates with a low of 56 and was match medalist. Teammate Maddie Sanford carded a 60.
For the Lakers, Kayla Cummins was co-medalist with a 56, Bree Stid carded a 58, Lauren Barhorst shot a 62 and Destiny Crumley added a 65.
Riverside hosts Botkins and Northeastern on Monday at Cherokee Hills Golf Course. Indian Lake travels to Northwestern on Wednesday for a Central Buckeye Conference match.
BHS girls drop Jon Alder
Bellefontaine’s girls golf team picked up a road win Thursday after it defeated host Jonathan Alder 180-194 in Central Buckeye Conference play.
Kayla Watkins fired a 37 to pace the Chiefs and take medalist honors. Madison Taylor carded a 40, Morgan Burden had a 51, Anastasia Hiatt shot a 52, Kyndal Newkirk had a 53 and Lexi Buffkin added a 59.
In junior varsity action, Bellefontaine’s Annika Reynolds carded a 54 and Emily Taylor had a 62.
Bellefontaine hosts Springfield Shawnee on Tuesday in more CBC action.

Ben Logan zaps Kenton Ridge
Benjamin Logan’s boys golf team dropped visiting Kenton Ridge 177-191 during a Central Buckeye Conference meeting at Liberty Hills Golf Club.
Ethan Ricketts fired a 38 to lead the Radiers and take medalist honors. Aiden Elsass and Jacob Mitchell both shot 45s, Luke McKenrick had a 49 and Aaron Vogelsang shot a 57.
In junior varsity action, Kaiden Munz led with a 55, Brandon Vogelsang shot a 58 and Gage Hamm added a 63.

Lane McPherson led the Lakers with a 38, Dylan Rice shot a 47, Camdon Tuttle carded a 49 and Josh Staley posted a 54.
Anna’s Bryce Cobb was match medalist with a 32.
