Ridgemont’s girls basketball team fought off Perry for a 62-54 victory in Northwest Central Conference action Thursday night.
The Gophers move to 6-9 overall and 3-3 in the NWCC.
Amanda Howland had a big game for the Gophers, finishing with a stat line of 19 points, 12 rebounds and four steals.
Hannah Shoffner also turned in a strong effort for the winners with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Brooke Nelson contributed nine points and Callie Cromer and Jen Jordan added eight points apiece for Ridgemont.
The Gophers started strong with an 18-4 run in the opening quarter. They went on to lead 32-20 at halftime.
The Commodores outscored the Gophers 24-16 in the third period to cut Ridgemont’s advantage to four points at 48-44.
Ridgemont locked up the win with a 14-10 spurt in the final quarter.
The Gophers return to action Saturday at Northeastern.
