Ridgemont’s girls basketball team fell behind in the first half to host Arcadia and never caught up as the Redskins picked up a 54-34 non-league win.
The loss drops the Gophers to 0-3 on the season.
Arcadia came out firing in the first quarter to take a 17-5 lead. The Redskins outscored the Gophers 15-10 in the second quarter for a 32-15 halftime advantage.
In the third quarter, Arcadia maintained its lead with a 13-10 run. That left the Redskins ahead 45-25.
Jen Jordan led the Gophers with nine points, Amanda Howland tallied seven points, while Nadia Martino, Callie Cromer and Hannah Shoffner each had five points.
Ridgemont hosts Riverside on Thursday in a varsity-only contest at 6 p.m.
