A city man who was released from court earlier this week on conditions that he have an eye problem tended to and keep the peace, was jailed Friday morning after he failed to do both, officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report.
John Prather, 54, was taken into custody on menacing and disorderly conduct charges after officers responded about 9:30 a.m. to a report of a man wearing boxing gloves who was threatening employees, patrons and neighbors of Community Markets, 309 N. Main St.
Mr. Prather pleaded guilty Monday to a felony drug trafficking charge and was granted a one-week furlough to schedule an eye appointment. He told officers he did not make it to the eye doctor, according to the report.
He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Woman cited for hitting building
Su Qin Liu, 31, was cited for failure to control after her vehicle struck the rear of Wammes Storage and Rentals, 121 S. Detroit St.
She was parked in a parking spot behind the 137 W. Columbus Ave. building where she resides and was attempting to move her vehicle, officers report. She was not immediately at the scene but was located nearby and cited.
