Ranny Paul Lane, 76, of DeGraff, passed away Friday, Aug. 7, 2020, at his home. He was born in Middleburg, on Oct. 19, 1943, a son of the late Lowell Lemuel and Mary Evalena (Cox) Lane. He was also preceded in death by his brother Gary Lane.
Ranny will be deeply missed by his entire family, most especially his five children, Tammy Lane, Scott (Heather) Lane, Rae (Tony) Stamm, Tabitha (James) Crace, and Teresa (J.P.) Davis; 11 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Betty (Lee) Deleon; and two brothers, Jim Lane and Stephen Lane; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog “Scooter.”
A U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, Ranny was a lover of the outdoors and had earned the nickname “Frog.” He most especially enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle with his family.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, August 10, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street in Bellefontaine, where a funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will be in East Liberty Cemetery in East Liberty at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made, in Ranny’s memory, to any veteran organization of the donor’s choice.
