Benjamin Logan’s baseball team dominated host Marion Harding on Saturday by firing a no-hitter and rolling to a 15-1 win in five innings for a non-league win. The Raiders stay unbeaten at 8-0.
Ben Logan got its bats going early and jumped out to an 8-0 lead after three innings. The Raiders added two runs in the fourth inning and four runs in the fifth inning to complete the run-rule victory.
On the mound, the Raiders used four pitchers to complete a no-hitter. Blake Peterson went 1.2 innings with three strikeouts, Carter Rees went 1.1 innings with three strikeouts, Kade Arn pitched an inning with two strikeouts and Brady Burrey finished off the game with one inning and three strikeouts.
Offensively, Ben Logan got rolling with 16 hits. Burrey went 4-4 with four RBI, Trey Allen went 2-4 with three RBI, Rees went 2-3 with two RBI, Andrew Thatcher went 2-2, Arn and Ethan Ricketts both had two RBI and Peterson and Dominic Roose each had one RBI. Ben Logan travels to Northwestern today.

Chiefs hold off Wildcats
Bellefontaine’s baseball team got its bats out to put away host Kenton 6-3 on Saturday in a non-league contest. The Chieftains are now 2-4.
Bellefontaine and Kenton were tied 1-1 after the first inning. The Chieftains plated two runs in the third inning and two more in the fourth inning for a 5-1 lead.
The Chiefs were able to tack on one more run in the fifth inning for a 6-1 score. Kenton managed to drive in two runs in the bottom of the seventh, but couldn’t get any closer.
Offensively for BHS, Riley Neer went 2-4 with two doubles and two RBI, T.J. Kerns went 3-4 with an RBI, Cole Comstock went 2-4, Alex Caudill hit a double with two RBI and Marcus Brugler had one RBI. Alex Pulfer recorded the win on the mound with five strikeouts. Bellefontaine travels to Springfield Shawnee today.

WL-Salem falls to Troy Christian
West Liberty-Salem’s baseball team lost to Troy Christian 9-2 on Saturday. The Tigers slide to 2-4 on the season.
Troy Christian drove in three runs in the third inning and three more runs in the fourth inning for a 6-0 lead.
WL-Salem was able to plate a run in the fifth inning and another run in the top of the sixth inning to trail 6-2. The Eagles added three more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning for a 9-2 lead and held on the rest of the way.
Nick Burden sparked the Tiger offense with a double, while Logan Saylor and Eli Allen each had an RBI. Burden suffered the loss on the mound with 13 strikeouts.
WL-Salem hosts Greeneview today.
