Benjamin Logan’s volleyball team bounced visiting Indian Lake in three sets on Wednesday 25-19, 25-23, 25-11 in a Volley for a Cure match.
The win moves the Raiders to 10-6 overall and 4-2 in the CBC Mad River division, while the Lakers fall to 2-14, 1-5.
Kylie Frazier sparked Ben Logan with 10 kills, 18 assists and four digs, Molly Vance had 12 kills, nine points, two aces and was 13-13 serving, Lynzee Cronkleton had 13 assists, five kills and 10 digs, Elliott Bailey had 11 digs and Jordan Sexstone added seven digs.
For Indian Lake, Kendall Cotterman led with three aces, two kills, 12 digs and was 12-12 serving, Shania Fruchey had four kills and was 18-19 hitting, Callie Notestine had two aces, five digs, was 10-10 serving and 31-33 setting and Allix Cotterman added three aces, 26 digs and was 14-14 serving.
Ben Logan’s junior varsity Black team defeated Indian Lake Black in straight sets 25-15, 25-20.
Brielle Moorhouse led the Raiders with four kills and seven assists, Lauren Dixon had 11 assists, Macy Matthew shad six kills and Georiga Bates had 11 digs and seven points.
For the Lakers, Porscha Davis had 10 assists and was 28-28 setting and Kaleigh Zedlitz had six kills, three digs and was 1-21-2 hitting.
Ben Logan’s junior varsity Gold team beat Indian Lake Red 25-13, 25-14.
Madison Butler led the Raiders with five points, one ace and was 6-6 serving and Alex Algire had four aces and three kills.
The Lakers saw Megan Kimbler tally two kills, four digs, was 10-11 serving, 6-6 setting and 8-8 serve receive and Madison Brentlinger had five kills, three digs and was 15-15 setting.
Indian Lake is back on the court Monday at home with Waynesfield-Goshen. Ben Logan travels to North Union on Tuesday for another CBC match.
Arrows sweep Chieftains
Bellefontaine’s volleyball team couldn’t slow down host Tecumseh on Wednesday and fell in three sets 25-10, 25-23, 25-17 during a Central Buckeye Conference Kenton Trail match.
Senior Ari Nunez also recorded a milestone for the Chiefs by earning her 1,000th career dig during the match.
The Chieftains fall to 4-11 overall and 1-6 in the CBC Kenton Trail, while the Arrows move to 5-9, 2-4.
Sarah Starkey led BHS with four kills, Lilly Palmer and Jordan Butler combined for 18 assists, Kenzie Flora and Nunez combined for 16 digs.
In junior varsity action, BHS beat Tecumseh 25-17, 25-13. Jordan Butler and Mia Oppy led the Chiefs in serving, while Grace Barrett and Ari McIntyre led the team in kills. Ellie Lloyd and Delmary Zayas led the defense.
Bellefontaine hosts Kenton Ridge on Tuesday for another CBC Kenton Trail match.
