Benjamin Logan’s baseball team found its stride early against visiting Northwestern and racked up 15 hits in an 18-3 win in five inning for a Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division win.
The Raiders bump their record to 10-1 overall and 5-1 in the CBC Mad River. The Warriors fall to 2-5, 1-4.
Ben Logan didn’t waste time finding home plate and led 7-1 after the first inning. The Raiders piled on six more runs in the second inning to build a 13-1 lead.
Northwestern scored a run in the third inning, but Ben Logan added five more runs in the fourth inning to hold an 18-2 advantage. The Warriors scored their final run in the fifth inning.
Tanner Perkins paced the Raider offense by going 3-3 with a double and two RBI, Kade Arn went 2-4 with a double and two RBI, Nolan Roose went 2-2 with three RBI, Kainan Stoner went 3-4 with an RBI, Carter Rees went 2-3 with a double, Trey Allen went 2-3 with an RBI, while Brady Burrey and Austin McGowan each had an RBI.
Rees picked up the win on the mound with five strikeouts.
Ben Logan hosts Springfield Shawnee on Friday for a CBC crossover game.
