Benjamin Logan’s baseball team pulled out another close win over host Greenon with an 11-10 victory in nine innings Tuesday in Central Buckeye Conference action.
The Raiders edged the Knights 4-2 on Monday.
The sweep moves the Raiders to 9-5 overall and puts them at second in the Mad River standings at 6-3. The Knights drop to 5-9, 1-7.
Ben Logan got the bats going early in the game to lead 7-1 after three innings.
Greenon put a rally together, though. The Knights scored one run in the fourth inning and another run in the fifth inning to trail 7-3.
The Raiders tacked on a run in the top of the sixth inning, but saw the Knights score three runs in the bottom of the sixth. That cut Ben Logan’s lead to an 8-6 score.
Ben Logan plated two more runs in the top of the seventh inning for a 10-6 edge. Greenon continued to fight back, pushing four runs across in the bottom of the seventh inning to tie the game 10-10.
After a scoreless eighth inning, the Raiders were able to score a run in the top of the ninth to take an 11-10 lead. The Knights failed to answer in the bottom of the ninth.
Ben Logan’s offense piled up 18 hits.
For the Raiders, Spencer Bycynski went 2-4 with a home run, a double and three RBI, Trey Wilson went 3-4 with a triple and two RBI, Konner Caudill went 2-4 with a double and an RBI, Cole Waugh went 4-5 with a double, Josh Whitten went 2-5 with an RBI, Mitchell Fink went 2-2 and Garrett Dixon had two RBI.
