Benjamin Logan’s girls and boys cross country teams turned in solid per- formances Tuesday at the Triad Invitational. The Raider girls finished third, while the Raider boys came in fourth. There were 11 teams in the girls race, but only four had enough runners to record team scores. Tecumseh won with 24 points, North Union was second with 44 points, Ben Logan took third with 69 points and Springfield was fourth with 105 points. North Union won the boys nine-team meet with 67 points, Tecumseh was runner-up with 81 points, Fairlawn finished third with 87 points, Ben Logan took fourth with 94 points, Mechanicsburg came in fifth with 106 points and Triad was sixth with 142 points. Dani Widmark led the Raider girls with a second- place finish out of 52 run- ners with a time of 20:38. Tecumseh standout Kylie Mastin won the race with a time of 19:41. Also for the Raiders, Kendra Kennedy was 17th (23:29), Tori Miller was 32nd (25:47), Charlotte Graham was 33rd (26:17), Sarah Folk was 40th (28:27), Malori Barnes was 43rd (28:54) and Ryann Beaschler was 44th (29:06). Leading the Raider boys were Tucker Munz in third (17:53) and Blake Rhoades in 5th (18:08). Also in action for the Raiders were Noland King in 10th (18:35), Andrew Hughes in 32nd (20:01), Yale Scheiderer in 51st (20:57), Landon Hunt in 59th (21:31) and Parker Osborne in 69th (22:24). Eli O’Brien sparked Triad’s boys with a sixth- place finish in a time of 18:19. Rounding out the team were Andrew O’Neal in 21st (19:21), Tavin Yorgason in 31st (20:01), Zane Robison in 47th (20:42), Klinton Driscoll in 49th (20:55) and Aaron Roy in 53rd (20:58). For the Cardinal girls, Tabitha Gaier was 41st (28:33) and Olivia Babanova was 51st (33:59). Triad races again Saturday at the Jim Murray Invitational in Springfield. Ben Logan is off until Saturday, Oct. 5, for the Marion Harding Invitational. |
