Benjamin Logan’s girls and Bellefontaine’s boys bowling teams walked away tournament champions Monday at the Kings Classic at T-P Lanes.
The Raiders won the girls six-team tournament with a top score of 3,401, the Chieftains were runner-up with 3,311 and Indian Lake took third with 3,082.
The boys tournament saw BHS win with 3,805, Ben Logan came in second with 3,708 and Westerville Central was third with 3,696.
The tournament started off with the King of Strikes competition and Indian Lake’s Jalan Martin was the girls winner, while Westerville Central’s Kyle Richardson was the boys winner.
The tournament high series for the girls went to Ben Logan’s defending Division II individuals state champion Kaylee Nicholas, who rolled games of 201, 203 and 182 for a 586 series.
Winning the boys high series was Westerville Central’s Zack Smock with games of 243, a perfect 300 and 188 for a 731 series.
Bellefontaine’s boys were led by Caleb Gonterman with games of 208, 190 and 202 for a 600 series, while Ryan Carman rolled games of 211, 178 and 207 for a 596 series.
Chiefs bowl past Arrows
Bellefontaine’s girls bowling team dominated host Tecumseh 2,252-1,472 on Tuesday in a Central Buckeye Conference match at Victory Lanes.
Kayla Watkins led the Chiefs with games of 198 and 182 for a 380 series, Ashley Ehmer had a game of 167 and a 325 series, Lindsey Heminger had a game of 182 and a 315 series and Candice Miihlbach added a game of 156.
Bellefontaine’s boys also defeated Tecumseh 2,874-2,779 on Tuesday.
Beau Salyer led BHS with games of 244 and 267 for a 511 series, Drake Argabright had games of 218 and 212 for a 430 series, Isaiah Henry had a game of 235 and Caleb Gonterman added a game of 220.
In junior varsity action, Jacob Reed led the Chiefs with games of 211 and 169 for a 380 series.
Bellefontaine hosts London on Friday.
Ben Logan drops Urbana
Benjmain Logan’s girls bowling team defeated visiting Urbana 2,293-1,804 on Wednesday during a Central Buckeye Conference match at T-P Lanes.
Erica Warne paced the Raiders with games of 156 and 231 for a 387 series, Addie Buckenroth rolled games of 156 and 175 for a 331 series, Kaylee Nicholas had a game of 160 and Malori Barnes added a game of 158.
Ben Logan hosts Graham on Friday for another CBC contest.
Lakers fall to Falcons
Indian Lake’s girls bowling team dropped a Central Buckeye Conference match to host Graham 2,695-2,360 Tuesday at Southwest Bowl in Urbana.
Jaelyn Hughes powered the Lakers new season high team score with an individual effort that included games of 223 and 169 for a 392 series. Jalan Martin rolled games of 180 and 210 for a 390 series, Kayleigh Zedlitz had games of 182 and 151 for a 333 series, Madison Kidder had games of 157 and 174 for a 331 series and Keiko Shields rolled games of 151 and 137 for a 288 series.
Graham also beat Indian Lake in the boys match 2,927-2,049. Individual results for the Lakers were not available.
Indian Lake hosts Northwestern today in CBC action.
