R. Carl Keller, 74, of Bellefontaine passed away May 8, 2022 at Dayton VA Medical Center after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 23, 1947, to Ralph and Glendora Keller.
Carl was a 1968 Army Vietnam Veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart. Carl worked in Logistics Command with Nasa after Vietnam, and was very proud of his involvement with one of the first space flight missions. Following his time in the service, he went on to work for UTS in Bellefontaine and later would advance his career by owning and operating his own business as CK Communications in Dayton, Ohio.
Carl had an infectious personality, he loved golf, Denver Broncos Football, and professional baseball especially the Cincinnati Reds and Dayton Dragons. Carl was known to show up at Elsas Mexican Restaurant 3-4 times a week for a “bad juan” visit with good friends.
Survivors include his father Ralph; brother Justin (Soozie) Keller; sister Melody (Ed) Wenger; sister-in-law’s Susan Keller and Leny Keller; brother-in-law Jerry Wenger; many nieces and nephews. Family would like to offer a special Thank You to his close friends Karole & Tina for all the help and support throughout the years.
He was preceded in death by his mother; brothers Terry, William, Shann and Chuck Keller; his sister Dawn Wenger.
Private military graveside services will be conducted at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home and Crematory.
