The Vores Compact Touring Series made its annual appearance Saturday at Shady Bowl Speedway and the event saw Shady Bowl drivers take five of the top ten spots in the 30-lap feature.

Local driver Terry Eaton Jr. of Quincy pulled out a dramatic win as he took over the final three laps to edge Gary Eaton Jr. by less than a car length to secure the victory. Andy Jennings, Matt Jackson and Chris Jennings rounded out the top five. Gary Eaton Jr. was the fast qualifier, while Terry Eaton Jr. and B.J. Honious were heat winners.
The 35-lap late model feature saw Jacob Muncy win his second feature of the season. Muncy traded the lead with last week’s winner Ross Klingelhofer before pulling away late in the event. Klingelhofer settled for second, Curt Frazier was third, Jesse Gade came in fourth and Kenny George was fifth. Brad Coons set the fast time. Klingelhofer won the dash and Gade earned a heat win.
