As area students are busy wrapping up the 2021-22 school year, several of their instructors received top honors in Logan County through Quest Federal Credit Union’s presentation of the 2022 Teacher of the Year awards.
The education professionals were honored after being nominated by students, parents, fellow educators and the community during an awards luncheon at Bella Vino Events & Wine Room in Bellefontaine.
The following award winners were selected from among 203 nominations:
• John Stahl, Benjamin Logan High School art;
• Bob Alig, Ohio Hi-Point Career Center diesel instructor;
• Jana McPherson, Indian Lake Middle School fifth-grade;
• Michaela Baker, Bellefontaine Elementary first-grade; and
• Jenny Wren, Calvary Christian School middle school math.
Award nominations were received online from the community and evaluated by the Supervisory Committee of Quest Federal Credit Union. Awards were based on student, teacher and peer feedback.
Quest Federal Credit Union expressed appreciation to these award winners, as well as those nominated, for being excellent leaders in the education of the students of Logan County.
“Quest is proud to support the education of the children in the communities served by Quest FCU,” Quest CEO Matt Jennings said. “Thank you for being a positive influence in the lives of the students you teach every day.”
