Two city residents were arrested on warrants Saturday following a month-long investigation into a fentanyl trafficking operation.
Savannea Daniels, 29, of 868 E. Sandusky Ave., Apt. 226, was charged with aggravated trafficking in drugs while Justin Durflinger, 32, of the same address was charged with complicity to aggravated trafficking in drugs.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department and members of the Logan County Unified Drug Task Force coordinated the arrests.
The duo allegedly have been trafficking large quantities of fentanyl in Bellefontaine and Logan County. When they were arrested, law enforcement officers found additional fentanyl in the possession of the pair.
Both were lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Police officers and task force investigators served a search warrant on the couple’s residence. Packaging materials commonly associated with narcotics trafficking, a digital scale with drug residue and other drug paraphernalia were located and seized during the search.
Additional charges are pending.
