Riverside’s girls basketball team fell behind midway through its game against visiting W-Goshen on Thursday as the Tigers went on to grab a 46-34 Northwest Central Conference win.
The Pirates fall to 4-10 overall and 1-2 in the NWCC as the Tigers improve to 2-11, 2-2.
Riverside held a 12-10 lead after the first quarter, but saw W-Goshen go on a 15-6 run in the second quarter. That allowed the Tigers to jump ahead for a 25-18 halftime advantage.
W-Goshen continued to pull away in the second half.
Courtnie Smith led the Pirates with 11 points and four steals and Shelby Giles added eight points.
In junior varsity action, Riverside rolled past W-Goshen 50-9. Kalin Kreglow powered the Pirates with 19 points and Dana Jones had 15 points.
Riverside hosts Bethel on Saturday in non-league action.
