Riverside combined some timely hitting with solid pitching to beat visiting Bradford 4-3 in non-league baseball action Monday.
The Pirates are now 10-8 on the season.
Bradford struck first with a run in the opening inning, but Riverside tied the game with a run in the second inning.
The Pirates made it 2-1 in the third inning and went up 3-1 with a run in the fourth frame.
Bradford scored a run in the top of the fifth to make it 3-2, but the Pirates answered with a run in the bottom of the fifth to lead 4-2.
Bradford plated a run in the top of the seventh, but Riverside was able to hang on for the one-run win.
Zane Rose started and went three innings on the mound to earn the win for the Pirates. Sam King worked three innings as well and Zander Crouch tossed the final inning.
Offensively, the Pirates had seven hits. Kale Long led the way, going 2-3 with an RBI.
Crouch and Andrew Knight each added an RBI.
The Pirates are back in action today at home against Hardin Northern.

Lakers outlast North Union
Indian Lake scored three runs in the top of the eighth inning to grab a 7-4 extra-inning win over host North Union in a Central Buckeye Conference baseball game Monday.
The Lakers improve to 13-8 overall and 8-6 in the CBC. The Wildcats drop to 6-12, 4-9.
The game was tied at 3-3 after six innings. Both teams scored a run in the seventh to force extra baseball.
The Lakers then took control for good with their three-run eighth inning.
Isaac Roby went 2-3 with a double and an RBI to spark the Lakers at the plate.
Trenton Fulkerson had a double, Logan Evans went 2-5, Gavin Lones went 2-4 with an RBI, Luke Jackson had a double and an RBI, Cayden Whitman was 2-2 with an RBI and Derek Cline added an RBI.
Caleb Wurster earned the win in relief.
