PILKINGTON |
A Bellefontaine mother’s trial on three counts of aggravated murder has been postponed until late February.
Logan County Common Pleas Judge Mark S. O’Connor granted a defense motion to move Britany Pilkington’s trial start and four days of hearings on motions to suppress an alleged confession she gave investigators, dismiss the death penalty specifications and set a trial for each of the three counts.
The motion hearing is now set to start Oct. 18 and end Oct. 21.
At this point, her trial will start Feb. 27 and continue until March 24.
Authorities say the 24-year-old mother smothered her three sons while they slept over a 13-month period starting with infant Niall in July 22, 2014, followed by Gavin, 4, on April 6 and infant Noah on Aug. 18.
She remains in the Logan County Jail.
