Philip William Kuhn, 66, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at The Ohio State University Ross Heart Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on January 14, 1955, in Bellefontaine, a son of Viola Joan (Cordrey) Bishop and the late George Howard Kuhn.
On August 23, 1975, Phil married the former Kathy Lyn Brunke in Bellefontaine, and survives, along with four children, Chad Kuhn, Brad Kuhn, Justin Kuhn, and Stacy Kuhn; five grandchildren, Alexander, Talena, Seth, Kane (Linsey), and Karter; five great grandchildren, Adi, Aurora, Keaton, Anthony, and one on the way; a sister, Barbara J. (Brandon) Butler; two brothers, G. Howard (Christal) Kuhn and John D. Kuhn; mother-in-law, Maxine Brunke; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Phil had worked at DAB for 12 years before beginning a 36-year career at AGC in Bellefontaine. He attended the Dayton School of Broadcasting, was an avid Ohio State football fan, and enjoyed gardening, canning, woodworking, and teaching others what he knew.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street in Bellefontaine, where Rev. Kevin Greenwald will officiate a funeral service at 4 p.m. Burial will follow in Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville.
