The Ridgemont Board of Education conducted a special meeting Tuesday night to interview a candidate for the position of interim superintendent.
At the meeting, members took action to hire Chris Pfister as interim superintendent for the 2022-2023 school year.
The board called the special meeting after accepting the resignation of Superintendent Sally Henrick, effective at the conclusion of the 2021-22 contract year, during their July 28 regular meeting.
Pfister has been a superintendent for 25 years and recently retired as the superintendent of Waynesfield-Goshen Schools after 10 years of service in that position.
He is looking forward to being a part of the Ridgemont Local School District and working with students, staff and the community.
“Please welcome Mr. Pfister to the district as we prepare for the start of the 2022-23 school year,” officials said.
