After 69 years of a life dedicated to helping others and serving the Lord, Patrick Dodds stepped into Paradise on Sunday, October 10, 2021, at 2:33 p.m. in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. He was the son of John O. and Myrtle (Tracy) Dodds.
Pat married his high school sweetheart, Sharon (Blaine), in 1971, and they just had recently celebrated their 50th year of marriage together. The love the two of them shared was an inspiration to everyone who knew them, especially their children: Leslie (Scott) Steiner and Stacy (Jason) Calton of Bellefontaine, Brian (Sarah) Dodds of Ponte Verda Beach, FL, Maribeth (Steve) Waers of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Heather (Shaun) Cason, Ben (Lacey) Dodds, Patrick (Erin) Dodds II, Nathaniel (Emily) Dodds, all of Columbus area. In his later years, he experienced the joy of being a grandfather to 18 grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: John (Jo) Dodds, Molly Shroyer, Denzil (Kay) Dodds, Mike (Carlotte) Dodds, David (Deanna) Dodds, and Aaron (Deanece) Dodds.
Pat’s dedication and love for his family was simply unmatched. He loved traveling with his wife and their entire family enjoyed many vacations together over the years that will be held as sacred memories.
While Pat was naturally an introvert at heart, many who knew him may not have realized it. His warmth, approachability and genuine spirit drew people to him, and he gladly invested in them. He used his natural gift of wisdom and insight to encourage and mentor others, enabling them to see beyond themselves. Generosity was a foundational pillar of his character, and he used it to display his love for the Lord and people.
He was the Founder & President of Dodds Wealth Advisors and served as a Regional Director for Money Concepts.
Additionally, he was a former Airstream employee, truck driver for Standard Oil of Ohio and Army veteran (Army Reserve). He served on various boards including the NWO District Advisory Board, MVNU Board of Trustees and his local church board enjoyed flying as he was an instrument-rated pilot.
He is preceded in death by his infant son, Joshua, his father & mother, and brothers Myron & Phil Dodds.
