Jason Shelton, 39 of Indianapolis, was charged with felony possession of drugs and identity theft, and his passenger, Angel Sallee, 31 of Indianapolis, was charged with two felony counts of possession of drugs as a result of a traffic top Tuesday morning.
Officers of the Washington Township Police Department on patrol in the area of State Route 274 and State Route 235 about 10:25 a.m. stopped a vehicle for a license plate violation. Upon stopping the vehicle, the male driver quickly exited the vehicle and started to walk away.
He was ordered back into the vehicle. The driver was asked for his personal information and provided false information.
K9 Bruno was deployed on the vehicle and indicated. A probable cause search was conducted. Approximately 1 1/2 pounds of liquid hashish was located on the floorboard. Methamphetamine and heroin was located in Sallee’s pants pocket and officers also located two syringes.
Both defendants were transported to the Logan County Jail.
