Lewis “Butch” Lawson Lenhart Jr., 73, of Bellefontaine, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2018, in Grant Hospital, Columbus.
He was born Sept. 11, 1944, in Bellefontaine, the son of the late Lewis Lenhart Sr. and of Imogene Sowards Lenhart, who survives.
Also surviving are his wife, Judith Kay Wagner Lenhart; daughter, Tonja Kay Lenhart Reed; a son, Ty (Julie) Lenhart; grandchildren, Tristan, Lauralee, Slate, Cole and Kaydin Lenhart; siblings, Linda (Carl) Renkert, Jane (Charlie) Kline,Cheryl Lenhart and Beverly (Dwight) Watkins; and several nieces and nephews.
Butch was owner and operator of Village Builders and Lenhart Inc. since 1971, and built many homes throughout Logan County and the surrounding area. He served our country in the U. S. Army during Vietnam, stationed in Germany.
A grandson, Joshua Lewis Reed, also preceded him in death..
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home, 5591 S. U.S. Route 68, West Liberty, where a funeral begins at noon Thursday, April 12, following calling that begins at 11 a.m.
Pastor John Watkins officiates and burial is in Highland Memorial Cemetery.
