Charlotte A. Gallup, 79, of Russells Point, passed away peacefully Wednesday night, April 4, 2018, at her home.
Charlotte was born March 3, 1939, in Ashley, a daughter of the late Delmar and Thelma Spillers Marvin. She also was preceded in death by three siblings, Hugh, Ronnie and Sharon Marvin.
On Nov. 17, 1957, she married Carl Gallup at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Lima, and he survives along with their four children, Dale (Carolyn) Gallup of Hicksville, Deborah (Daniel) Diem and Dawn (Charles) Monk, both of Plain City, and Diane (Timothy) Dunbar of Republic; seven grandchildren; Rachel, Aaron, Matthew, Maria, Marcen, Travis and Tyler; eight great-grandchildren; six siblings, Delmar “Gene” Marvin, Lloyd Marvin, Sarah Purtee, Judy Millhouse, Harold “Butch” Marvin and Jerry Marvin; and several nieces and nephews.
Charlotte was a 1957 graduate of Jackson Center High School.
She was a member of Galilee Lutheran Church in Russells Point and she enjoyed playing bingo, euchre and rummy, and taking pontoon rides on Indian Lake.
She loved being with her family and playing with her grandchildren.
Pastor Karen Torrez begins a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 23, at Galilee Lutheran Church, 301 Lincoln Blvd., Russells Point.
Memorial contributions may be given in her name to St. Rita’s Hospice.
